Key Points

  • Anker Sleep A30 Adds ANC and Snore Masking at $229
  • Anker adds active noise canceling to Sleep A30 buds
  • Slimmer design improves comfort for side sleepers
  • Battery drops to 9 hours due to ANC tech
  • $80 more than A20, but offers new snore-blocking case

Anker has just revealed its newest sleep-focused wireless earbuds, the Soundcore Sleep A30, now featuring long-awaited active noise canceling (ANC).

The A30s are a major upgrade from last yearโ€™s A20 model, which relied only on a snug fit to block out noise. But this yearโ€™s $229.99 price tagโ€”$80 more than the A20โ€”might make some think twice. That said, early Kickstarter backers can grab them for just $139.

ANC is the headline feature here. It uses two microphonesโ€”one on the outside and one inside the earโ€”to detect and cancel out unwanted sound. This means the A30 can block up to 30dB of noise, which could be a game-changer for light sleepers or those living in noisy areas.

These arenโ€™t just your typical wireless earbuds with ANC. Theyโ€™re specifically designed for sleep. The A30s are 7% slimmer than the A20, with a shape that makes them more comfortable to wear while lying down.

For those who sleep on their sides, this is a big plus. They come with multiple ear tips and ear wings in various sizes to help you find that perfect fit.

Adaptive snore masking and smarter sleep tracking onboard

But the upgrades donโ€™t stop at active noise canceling. Anker is also introducing something called Adaptive Snore Masking, built right into the charging case. It works by detecting nearby snoring sounds and generating audio that plays through the buds to help mask the snoring and let you sleep peacefully.

Itโ€™s not just about blocking sound though. The Sleep A30 earbuds are loaded with smart features. Through the Soundcore app, you can track your sleep quality and sleep position throughout the night.

They even come with a private alarm system you can customize, and a snooze feature that wonโ€™t disturb your partner. If you lose an earbud in the sheets, the app includes a Find My Earbud feature to help you track it down.

Thereโ€™s a trade-off for all this tech: battery life. While the older A20s could last 14 hours on a single charge, the A30s max out at 9 hours with ANC when playing built-in sleep sounds.

If youโ€™re streaming from your phone, that number drops to 6.5 hours. Still, with the included charging case, total usage can stretch to 45 hours on local playback, or 35 hours when streaming.

The Sleep A30 is launching first on Kickstarter, where early backers can score the earbuds at a discount. Full retail availability is expected in August 2025 on Amazon and Soundcoreโ€™s online store.

Why the Soundcore Sleep A30 might be worth the higher price

The Soundcore Sleep A30 may be priced higher, but it offers key upgrades that justify the costโ€”especially for anyone who struggles with sleep. The addition of active noise canceling, a more comfortable slim design, and adaptive snore masking bring major improvements to the user experience.

With better noise-blocking, smarter tracking, and thoughtful features like a silent alarm and improved case design, the A30 positions itself as one of the most advanced sleep earbuds on the market.

And for those sensitive to sound or dealing with noisy sleep environments, the $229 price tag might feel like a small price to pay for a good nightโ€™s sleep.
