Supriya Sule crypto fraud allegations have sent shockwaves through Maharashtra’s political landscape just as voters prepare to cast their ballots. The BJP has accused the National Congress Party (NCP) leader of being involved in a massive ₹235 crore Bitcoin scam.

According to BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, the alleged scam was used to fund election campaigns for the Opposition, including Congress MLA Nana Patole.

In a late-night press conference, Trivedi presented audio clips, which he claims are direct evidence of Sule and Patole’s involvement.

These clips reportedly reveal conversations with a cryptocurrency trader, Gaurav Mehta, who was allegedly tasked with converting Bitcoins into cash to fund political campaigns.

The BJP insists that this scam has been operational since 2018 and has played a key role in influencing electoral outcomes.

This explosive allegation comes at a critical moment, raising questions about the integrity of the electoral process and setting the stage for a contentious election.

Gaurav Mehta’s Testimony and IPS Revelations

Central to the Supriya Sule crypto fraud claims is Gaurav Mehta, a cryptocurrency trader who allegedly managed Bitcoin transactions for Sule and Patole. Mehta reportedly decided to come forward due to concerns about his safety, providing the BJP with what they call “damning evidence.”

Former IPS officer Ravindranath Patil added further intrigue. Patil, who had been involved in a 2018 crypto fraud investigation, claimed the roots of this scam lay in the manipulation of cryptocurrency wallets during earlier probes.

Patil alleged that high-ranking officers, including Amitabh Gupta and Bhagyashri Nautake, were involved in replacing a cryptocurrency wallet central to the investigation.

Patil also stated that the funds from the alleged scam had been used to influence previous elections, further deepening the scandal.

Sule’s Response to Bitcoin Fraud Allegations

NCP leader Supriya Sule vehemently denied the accusations, labeling them as baseless and politically motivated. She announced plans to file a defamation case against BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi for what she described as “malicious attempts to mislead voters.”

Sule questioned the timing of the allegations, pointing out that such claims conveniently surfaced just before the Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Impact of the Supriya Sule Crypto Fraud Allegations

The allegations have stirred up Maharashtra’s political landscape, dominating headlines and sparking fierce debates. The BJP appears determined to keep the focus on the Supriya Sule crypto fraud ahead of the polls, while the Opposition has dismissed the claims as election-time theatrics.

This controversy could potentially sway undecided voters, as accusations of financial fraud and misuse of cryptocurrency evoke strong reactions. With both sides doubling down on their narratives, this issue is set to influence the political discourse well beyond election day.
